What to know
Used containers are sold by grade. Cargo-worthy units can be certified to ship again; wind and watertight units are retired from shipping but keep weather out; as-is units are cheapest and not guaranteed. For storage on your own land, wind and watertight is the usual pick.

Questions
How long does a used container last?
It depends on condition and care. Keeping it off bare soil, on gravel or blocks, and keeping water from pooling on the roof helps it last.
